The Röntgen-Ångström-Cluster Memorandum of Understanding that details the commitment of the governments of Sweden and Germany to future collaborative projects was signed on June 15th 2009 by Professor Annette Schavan, Federal Minister of Education and Research (Germany), and Lars Leijonborg, Minister of Higher Education and Research (Sweden). Both countries made clear they want to work together very closely on utilizing synchrotron and neutron radiation in the fields of materials research and structural biology.
