The aim of the workshop was to provide a first survey of the current use and interest of coherent X-ray techniques in Sweden, inform about possibilities at the new sources (in particular PETRA III), have a first discussion on the needs from the Swedish user community, inform about the possibilities of the Röntgen-Ångström collaboration, discuss future activities for the development of coherence. continue reading…

Report from workshop: “Swedish Materials Science beamline at PETRA III”
Hamburg, August 29-30, 2011
The second workshop on the Swedish Materials Science (SMS) beamline at PETRA III took place at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in Hamburg on August 29-30, 2011. Aim of the Workshop was to further discuss the possibilities for scientific applications and techniques at the SMS beamline and to foster the interaction of interested scientists from Sweden with colleagues at DESY. Organizer of the Workshop was the Swedish Research Council, which is funding the construction of the beamline and, later on, will give a substantial contribution to its operation. read more…
